As part of our "giving back" campaign, CACLA members are requested to support organizations and/or institutions, annually, who have demonstrated through the years their commitment to local artists and art communities.

The first recipient of our campaign is the California African American Museum (CAAM), a state funded museum in Los Angeles, whose budget has been cut by the economic downturn in the state of California.

How the "giving back" campaign works is that the CACLA organization request our renewing and/or new members to join CAAM as a prerequisite of becoming a CACLA member.

This gives our members the benefit of getting two memberships for the price of one, at the same time, it allows CACLA members to support CAAM!
