Gourd art has been a part of my life for the past 13 yrs. I started with gourd art at the encouragement of my sister. It is now more than just an artistic interest but a delightful second career. Gourds allow my creativity to journey far beyond just painting the outside of a natural vessel. I feel driven to put on display the emotions of the human spirit that are common to each of us.

Gourds or calabash for which it is known in many countries are used for many practical uses, but here in the US it has now become an emerging form of fine art.

Born in Pasadena, CA, Pat is a self taught gourd artist.
