The mission of the California Artist Coalition of Los Angeles (CACLA) is to act as a support for artists by exposing them to the business of art, while at the same time helping them gain public recognition. We are directed to helping under-served populations; especially artists of color follow their passion and turn their passion into prosperity.
CACLA is service-oriented, accessible, proactive, artists' advocate helping to build relationships among artists, art enthusiasts and members of the art business community. CACLA accomplishes its purpose by:
- Increasing the artist’s exposure to opportunities and support through the identification of possible funding streams; thereby allowing them to further their careers and continue creating art that enriches all lives
- Providing valuable information to artists via regular email blasts, workshops, and general meetings, as well as exhibition opportunities
- Providing artists opportunities for media exposure via various media outlets
- Constructing and facilitating systems by which artists, institutions and others can work collaboratively and/or independently, in a mutually supportive structure
- Collaborating with established youth art programs through schools and other art organizations to promote CACLA mentorship project via a roster of elite artists
