This is a call to form a multicultural, intentional community of creative people - artists and writers - on the South edge of Koreatown at Washington and Westmoreland Blvd. In a six bedroom house in historic Harvard Heights, we will establish a creative, live-work community.
For visual artists it is an opportunity to have a space to create in and exhibit new work. Writers can stage table readings to hear their characters out loud and get insights from their peers. The common goal of this group of people will be to support the creation and sharing of our crafts, ideas and voices.
We have three bedrooms available that come with separate studio space behind the house at $1200 and $1150. We also have an attic live/work studio at $1200. The house has 3 bathrooms and all utilities are included.
As an arts collective, we will take an active role in the neighborhood council and in projects that make a positive impact in the surrounding community. We want people who can respect the space and their housemates, are honest, communicate in healthy ways, get along with others, want to share their talent and energy and are open to growing with the experience.
If this arrangement appeals to you and you are ready to move forward now, respond to this post or to one@solomonrenaissance.org or call Stephen and Sheila Hardy at (424) 207 - 9551. Move-in requires 1st mo + deposit equal to one month's rent.
We'd love to hear from you. Serious inquiries only.
